Question 5.1 Audio not working on 3 separate computers and 2 different sound systems Question Seeking: Advice on new video card and motherboard for video and audio production
How to pause and resume starcraft 2 game tv#
Question I have a Sony digital audio/video control center and a TCL ROKU TV set. Speakers are set up as 5.1 channel surround. I have an AsRock 770 Extreme 3 motherboard with integrated sound. It will make a VERY slight click/thump sound when I scroll, and occasionally horizontal or vertical movement will cause a higher pitched whine. The problem doesn't seem to ever occur if ANY program is using sound, it's just when nothing is using it, and something else tries to play.Īnother weird thing that may or may not be related, is that I can hear mouse movements over the sub, especially the scroll wheel. This may have been the same problem and it just happened while I was away, but it was a few months ago and the problem I'm having now just started in the last week or so. It seems to only happen when more than one program is using sound, although one time I couldn't get any sound to play and I just restarted my computer.

I just start closing programs, and when I close the right one, audio will start playing again. When this happens, I can't play any audio in any program. It has happened with firefox/winamp, chrome/windows media player, and just about every combination of programs. If the playlist ends while no game sounds are being played, I can't play any audio until I close/restart SCII. Most commonly I notice this when playing StarCraft II while listening to music in WinAmp. Sometimes when I have multiple programs playing sound, if the audio from one stops, no sound will play until I close the program that is using it.
